This is the German Translation of Don't Panic! – The Absolute Beginner’s Guide to SysML v2.
The Don’t Panic series, has been developed as a result of a growing number of people asking for more of our thorough, short, and easily-digestible guides and are a maximum of 55 pages in length.
If you are an existing user of SysML, or are thinking of starting to use it, then this book is for you.
Why? Because SysML version 2 is under development. Unlike the 1.n updates to SysML version 1 which introduced only minor changes, version 2 of the language is a major update. SysML version 2 has been developed from scratch and is no longer dependent on the UML2 metamodel, but is based in a new metamodel called KerML - the Kernel Modelling Language.
While much of version 2 will be familiar to existing users of SysML, there are a number of significant changes. This Don't Panic! Guide gives an introduction to these changes, shortening the learning curve for when tool support for SysML version 2 becomes available.
Target group: To SysML v2 (http://www.se-trends.de/en/day/sysml/) and/or MBSE (http://www.se-trends.de/en/day/mbse/) interested people with a basic knowledge of UML or SysML who want to be able to have a competent say on SysML v2. The term "Absolute Beginners Guide" should not be taken literally, as the book description makes clear. Readers should have at least some basic knowledge of UML or SysML.
Rating: ★★★★★ Due to its compact size (68 pages), the book cannot go into great depth. Nevertheless, it covers all the important topics and conveys the possibilities, limitations and differences of SysML v2, with clearly understandable examples. Readers who have been following SysML v2 for some time will not find much that is new. However, this is not the aim of the book.
Acquire: The book is published via the INCOSE UK-Shop (https://incoseuk.org/Program_Files/Store/) for £ 20 as a paperback or for £ 15 as a DRM-free PDF.
