Abstract

With Skype most likely having abandoned its decentralized approach after being bought and further developed by Microsoft, real P2P voice and video over IP application have become increasingly rare. The goal of this thesis is the design and implementation of a fully-distributed, P2P Video and Voice over IP application. The application is developed in Java with its main focus on a desktop (Windows, Linux) version as well as an additional mobile (Android) version. The developed application can be seen as a base for further development, as it can not yet match the features or stability offered by currently existing applications.
